
Dale serves as President of French, where he provides leadership in operations, human resources, design, business development, and production. With more than 40 years of experience, including over three decades with French, Dale has played a pivotal role in shaping the firm into one of Michigan’s leading K-12 architectural practices. He has overseen more than $3.9 billion in school facility improvements, working with over 85 school districts across the state.
A recognized expert in bond planning and facility assessment, Dale works closely with school districts and municipal clients to develop comprehensive strategies that address both immediate and long-term facility needs. His doctoral research focused on the design and planning process of educational facilities, further strengthening his expertise in guiding districts through complex planning initiatives. Dale’s practical, creative leadership style ensures that clients receive thoughtful, real-world solutions that make a lasting impact on their communities.
In addition to his leadership at French, Dale is a registered architect in Michigan and an Accredited Learning Environment Planner. He is actively involved in professional organizations including the American Institute of Architects, the Association for Learning Environments, and the Chief Executive Network. His representative experience spans K-12 schools, higher education institutions, municipal facilities, and public safety buildings, reflecting his broad knowledge and dedication to creating environments that serve and inspire.
